Naturally Dry Beams
AltruWood Naturally Dry beams come from trees that have died while still standing due to firekill or damage. When this happens, they begin the drying process while standing and dry very efficiently.

Naturally Dry timbers are considered more stable with less twisting, warping, movement, and pitch than a traditional green timber. With a pleasant amber tone, these timbers accept a stain and finish magnificently.
We have sourced Naturally Dry material up and down the west coast and throughout Canada and we are second to none in our ability to discern the finest Naturally Dry timbers. Unless otherwise desired, all of our Naturally Dry is site graded to an Appearance Grade # 1 and Better. Additional structural grades also available.
Since Naturally Dry timbers are cut from logs we are able to produce them in any size. We offer all of the same surface treatments – circle sawn, band sawn, surfaced, hewn, and distressed – as we do with our reclaimed doug fir beams.
Naturally Dry beams give our customers maximum flexibility in both size and appearance.
