While Ipe has garnered much of the adoration of North American flooring installers, Cumaru has been the silent but steady work horse.  With a Janka hardness rating that is almost as hard as Ipe and its own distinct beauty.  Cumaru is a tropical flooring, similar to jatoba in the color variation and more of a prevalent grain pattern.  AltruWood’s unfinished FSC certified Cumaru Flooring is available in both red Cumaru and yellow Cumaru and can vary greatly from region to region so we encourage you to request a sample prior to purchasing.
