AltruWood only sells and distributes new lumber that has been certified by a reputable accreditation agency. AltruWood is certified for chain of custody by SGS. We source certified wood from all over the world and ship from multiple locations; as a result, we are able to work with our customers and suppliers to minimize transportation costs.
Due to the rapid growth of FSC Certified Forest land, very few lumber products exist that AltruWood cannot responsibly source. For building projects seeking LEED Certification, in addition to providing certified wood, we often source and mill it from within 500 miles of the location (LEED Credits 5.1 and 5.2).

It is the goal of AltruWood to promote responsible forestry through providing our customers an easy, efficient, and cost-effective way of procuring FSC Certified Lumber Products.
We do not stock or sell framing lumber or plywood.
For domestic FSC Certified Woods such as White Oak, Maple, Cedar, Redwood, and Douglas Fir, most of our products are custom milled to your application. As a result, a delivery timeline of 4 - 6 weeks is usually needed.
